Scenic Street Views

Apparently this tiny road in the Italian foothills of the Alps was too spooky for the Google car to keep going.

This idyllic setting is found on one of the smaller roads through the Pyrenees, just on the French side of the border.

Warning! Alligators! I guess it’s a good thing the Google van didn’t go any further.

Before, I wondered why the Google van went all the way out to the Canary Islands. Now I wonder how I didn’t know how beautiful it is there.

You can’t really grasp the grandeur of this setting unless you see the 360 view. Canada’s Trans-Canada Highway includes some of the most impressive driving scenery anywhere. This section of the highway is just inside Alberta’s Western border.

Canada’s biggest export isn’t hockey, maple syrup, or indie bands, it’s unfairly amazing views. Seriously. 

I was putting together some posts about the awe-inspiring street views in Canadian mountains and stumbled upon this.

Yeah, I don’t know either. Those wacky dudes at Google.

Edit: Apparently they do “Google Ski View” in some places in Canada. Naturally, that produces some amazing views, but I’m not going to post them all here. Seems a bit off topic.
